ETHICS & SUSTAINABILTY STRATEGY
As a family owned and run business we are not driven by the demands of external shareholders, but by our values and our desire to do the right thing.
Our principles are clear, as are our responsibilities to those we do business with and our local communities.
Our current Ethics and Sustainability strategy focuses on areas that matter most to us, namely the promotion of the health of our planet and to contribute as positively as we can.
For example:
1) We only work with well run manufacturers who take pride in their products and their workforce.
2) All people working throughout our supply chains should be treated with respect, kept safe and be fairly rewarded for their work.
3) Our products are only manufactured from responsibly sourced materials.
4) By-product created as a result of any manufacturing process is carefully and responsibly disposed of in accordance with local legislations.
5) We re actively working with our partners to enable us to produce product packaging which is entirely recyclable.
6) We are continuingly evaluating our Ethics and Sustainability strategy and placing an even greater emphasis on the work we do in this area.

At IINTRA the standards that we demand are always high, however we strive to improve these everyday.
This could not be more true than with the sourcing of our products and in particular the standards enjoyed by the workforces whose diligence and professionalism make such high quality product available to us all.
It is our view that all people working throughout our supply chain should be treated with respect, kept safe at all times and be fairly rewarded for the work that they do.
We are committed to driving change by demanding that our high standards are met in order that a supply partnership can be formed.
We continue to advise and provide guidance to our suppliers in order that any issues identified are rectified as quickly as possible.

TESTING
Only products that pass our rigorous testing process can wear the IINTRA badge.
This process begins with the responsibly sourced raw material being quality checked for conformity, size, weight, composition and of course appearance.
This material is then processed, checked again for any imperfections before a sample batch of pre-production parts are manufactured – only once the quality of these products have been passed, will the mass production process begin.
After a the material has been casted, it then moves onto the next process in mass production, CNC processing. During this procedure, the parts are once again quality checked to ensure that they meet the IINTRA standards. Body parts are flushed with clean water to ensure that there is no debris left behind and then they are water pressure tested to ensure that there are no leaks.
Parts are then polished and once again pass through a quality control department where each piece is checked by hand to ensure that they meet our standards – at this point any products that require a further finishing process are passed for electro-plating.
During the electro-plating process, the parts are coated with the desired finish, or metal, by electrolytic deposition and are then once again hand checked to make sure that they meet the IINTRA standards.
A sample of the components are then taken from the mass production and placed in a 24 hour salt spray test environment. This process is an accelerated corrosion test that produces an “attack” on the surface of the samples in order to evaluate the suitability of the coating against the IINTRA standards and to ensure the long lasting appearance of your kitchen tap.
After this process, each component is then once again checked for conformity against the product designs, making sure that every measurement is precise.
Products are then assembled in accordance with their particular design with a sample being taken for life time testing. This involves placing the taps into a machine which recreates a “life time” of usual usage within a shorter period of time. For example, the machine with rotate the spout, pull out the spray head, operate the spray head button and of course turn the water on an off over and over again up to 80,000 times. This test ensures that your IINTRA tap will function correctly for many years to come.
Before final quality control and packing each and every IINTRA kitchen tap goes through a further three tests. The first is a low pressure test, then the high pressure test and finally the air pressure test to ensure that there are absolutely no leaks.
