OUR PACKAGING & WASTE
To help reduce the environmental impact of our business we must, where possible, limit the amount of packaging & waste produced at the same time as ensuring that what is used is as environmentally friendly, yet functional, as possible.
Below is a breakdown of the materials we currently use in our packaging:
OUR BOXES
The boxes we use are manufactured from strong reinforced cardboard and are 100% recyclable and widely accepted by local recycling centres.
MAKING IMPROVEMENTS
The next stage in this packing development will be to ensure that any printing on the box is single colour, thus reducing manufacturing byproduct and emissions – a step forward in bettering our packaging & waste.
PROTECTING OUR TAPS
Fitted within all our tap boxes is a design specific foam insert. This insert ensures that product reaches you in perfect condition, without transportation damage or scuffing that can be associated with carboard packaging. Unfortunately this material is not widely recyclable yet.
MOVING FORWARD
This is an area that we are very keen to improve upon. We are currently spending time and resource, working closely with our factories, to find a solution which ultimately provides the same levels of protection whilst significantly increases the recyclability.
DELIVERING OUR TAPS
All packaging used for delivery is either recycled, recyclable, biodegradable or a combination of these properties. The protective green bubble wrap that we use is biodegradable unlike the cheaper clear product which is not. The packing tape we use is a biodegradable eco kraft paper tape and finally the mailing bags themselves are both recycled and recyclable.
NEVER STANDING STILL
We will continue to work with our packaging suppliers to find new and innovative ways to improve.
